My first Black Cat

Black Cat was a night to remember. That is kind of cliche to say, but my roommate scratched their eye out, I had to change outfits, and I lost my cash to get into the venue. Despite that, though I had a great time, it was fun dancing with friends. I felt that I got closer with my classmates and danced the night away. I am glad I got to experience this tradition and to get to be a part of this. Black Cat week was hard, trying to balance everything but in the end, getting to have fun at the formal was worth it.

Day 50

In my first fifty days of college, I’ve realized many things. –

  • first of all- one cannot simply mix redbull and coffee, you will definetly pass out
  • study, study, study you cannot use your own smarts to barely get by in your classes
  • And that friends, can be apart your daily life and help make your life more stable

I haven’t been home in two months but I’m not sad about it. I do deeply miss my family and friends. But the thing is, I never truly felt at home when I was there, we had just moved into a new house, and before that the feeling of being without something was worse. No offense mom! But what I mean by that is my definition of home has changed within the last year so much that I don’t think I have one in texas anymore. I definitely have family who I will visit and friends that I will see but, I think I have a new home. I’m excited for what the future will hold, and how much I will grow as a person.

Now I am sitting here in my LDR class realizing how much life is changing and how I am growing as a person. I’m excited to see where this goes.
